Jason Kirkorsky

Shareholder Attorney

Jason Kirkorsky is an attorney with Mark A. Kirkorsky, P.C., where his practice encompasses a wide range of civil and commercial matters. His experience includes civil litigation, credit and lending, collections, construction law, real estate transactions, business transactions, and sports law.

In the areas of credit and lending, Jason represents large nationwide corporations, advising on trade credit practices and enforcing creditor rights and collections. His real estate practice includes representing investors in the acquisition, management, and sale of commercial property, as well as drafting and negotiating leases and other real estate documents.

Jason also brings years of experience in the sports industry, where he has worked with professional athletes and sports organizations on a variety of on-field and off-field matters. His current work in this area centers on contract, transactional, and advisory services related to the business affairs of athletes and sports-related enterprises.
Jason is admitted to practice in Arizona, the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona, and the State of California.

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Cum Laude, from the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management, and his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where he served as a Production Editor on the Loyal of Los Angeles Law Review.

Joseph Whipple

Attorney & Director of Arizona Legal Operations

Joseph oversees the firm’s legal department and all litigation outsourced to the firm’s national attorney network. Joseph became licensed to practice law in Arizona in 2001 and currently serves as a senior associate. His legal career has focused exclusively on enforcing creditor rights and collection litigation, and he is driven to collect clients’ hard-earned, unpaid receivables and recover their secured property. In addition to litigating the Firm’s Arizona caseload, he manages the Firm’s Arizona Legal Department and oversees all litigation outsourced to the Firm’s national attorney network. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Whipple honorably served in the U. S. Navy and was a successful business owner.

Stephen Kopolow

Attorney & Director of Nevada Legal Operations

Stephen attended the University of Arizona, where he graduated with a bachelors in Business Administration (B.S.B.A). Stephen furthered his education at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, CA and was admitted to the District of Columbia Bar in 1999 and the State Bar of Nevada in 2003. Stephen has practiced for close to 30 years representing creditors, first with his own practice for 20 years, then partnering with MAK in 2016. Prior to becoming an attorney, Kopolow spent several years trading commodities focusing on non-ferrous metals and exotic metallic alloys internationally.

Alex Zurawskyj

Senior Attorney

Alex Zurawskyj joined MAK in 2025, as an attorney. He is a native of Michigan but is now based out of Fort Myers, Florida. Alex graduated from the Honors College of Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan in 2004 with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in English. He then attended the University of Detroit Mercy Law School, graduating in 2007.

Alex has over 20 years of experience in the legal field. Prior to MAK, Alex worked in-house for one of the largest construction rental companies in North America, focusing his efforts on bad debt collections, complex bankruptcy litigation, foreclosure, acquisitions, and receivership actions.  His experience also includes resolution of complex real estate transactions, construction law, corporate governance, and compliance.

Alex serves on several local charitable boards which includes the J.R. Jones Memorial Foundation, an organization which has provided Title I school children over 1400 pairs of new shoes, clothing, and backpacks since 2001.   Outside of the office, Alex is an avid guitar player and collector, fisherman and supporter of the Detroit Tigers.  He is married to his beautiful wife Blanca, who is a General Contractor and owns BZY Builds, a custom home building company based out of Naples, Florida

Mark Filleman

Director of Operations

Operations and is based in the Arizona MAK office. Mark joined MAK in 2013 after spending more than 20 years in the electric construction industry. Mark attended Northern Arizona University and graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts and went to Grand Canyon University, graduating with a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Leadership. Mark received his Credit Business Associate Certification in 2021, which has strengthened his knowledge in the industry and leadership for our company. Mark is an Arizona native and a married dad of three boys.

Taylor Haven

Director of Business Development

Taylor oversees the marketing and development for the firm. Taylor graduated from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelors in Psychology, focused in Marketing. Taylor returned to her hometown and joined MAK in 2018 in the legal department, then to her current role for the firm. Taylor also oversees the MAK Portals, client relations, and internal system development. Outside of MAK, Taylor enjoys photography and spending summers at the lake with her family and dog, Henry.
